Identification: - Guests are required to show 2 pieces of ID a photo ID, Drivers Licence and credit card upon check-in.
Checking In: - Guests who have not booked a room with us through Booking.com must provide a valid credit card to us when checking in.
Booking by Phone: - Guests who are booking a room with us by phone must have a valid credit card to secure the room even if you are paying by cash when they arrive at The Dewberry B&B.
Security Damage Deposit:
- When checking into The Dewberry Homestay B&B, the guest may be required to provide a Room Security / Damage Deposit for damages and/or outstanding expenses in the amount of $200.00 The security deposit may be guaranteed by credit card or paid in cash by the guest. The security deposit is used only as insurance for damages and/or outstanding expenses incurred by the guest during their stay at The Dewberry Homestay B&B, excluding accommodation costs.
The security deposit is refunded to the guest within 24 hour of checking out if paid by cash by e-Transfer, after the condition of their room has been inspected in case no damages have been incurred and/or all expenses incurred by the guest during their stay at The Dewberry Homestay B&B, excluding accommodation costs, have been settled.
The Dewberry Homestay B&B reserves the right to charge the amount of damages and/or other expenses incurred by the guest during the stay at The Dewberry Homestay B&B, if the amount of damages and/or costs incurred exceeds the amount guaranteed or paid by the guest on the basis of the security deposit.
- FREE CANCELLATION - The guest can cancel free of charge until 14 days before arrival. The guest will be charged 50% of the total price if they cancel within 14 days of arrival.
- NO SHOW - If the guest doesn't show up, they'll be charged the total price of the reservation.
- SMOKE FREE B & B ROOMS: - At The Dewberry Homestay B&B we must consider all our guests who come to stay with us, especially the Non-Smoker and those who are sensitive to smell or allergic to cigarette smoke. All our rooms are smoke free. Smoking or Vaping is not permitted in The Dewberry Homestay B&B at any time. Guest who do smoke or Vape can smoke or Vape out doors at designated locations. If it is determined or found that a guest is or has been smoking or Vaping in The Dewberry Homestay B&B Guest Room you will be charged a $250.00 cleaning fee to your account.
- Quiet Time: - Quiet Time is from 11:00 pm until 7:00 am. This means quests need to be quiet no loud noises or loud talking as this is a private home and the walls are not sound proof. We reserve this time for our quests to enjoy a quiet peaceful room as they sleep.
- Guests Visitors: - Sorry All Guest Visitors must leave by 11:00 pm. No unregistered visitors are permitted in the rooms after 11:00 pm. Sorry No Over Night Visitors.
- No Children: - Sorry but we have no setup for children at this time. This is an Adult B&B only.
- No Pets: - We currently have one dog and two cats we can not take any more your pets not allowed.
- Prepayment policy: - All Reservation's are paid at the time of booking, by Credit Card or you can send us an e-Transfer. We can also take your payment when you arrive at the B&B if checking in on the same day of booking your reservation.

- Check-in: - From 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM or by special arrangement
- Room Key - We do not use Room Keys, each guest will be issued a Room Code to unlock their room door.
- Check-out: - by 11:30 AM or as agreed. We will be happy to store your luggage if needed.
- Cooking Equipment & Hot Water Kettles: - Due to Alberta and City Fire bylaws for residential Bed & Breakfasts, Guests are not permitted to have or use Cooking equipment such as hot plates or electric hot water kettles in the room's. If you need hot water for coffee or tea you can get it from the kitchen. The Kitchen is closed after midnight.
- Luggage Storage: - Guest's may store their luggage with us if needed before checking-in or for a short time after checking out. If you need to store your luggage with us for 24 hours or more we charge $2.00 per piece of luggage per day.
- Breakfast - A Complimentary Full Breakfast from 7:30 am to 11:00 am is included during your stay and will be served in the kitchen. Our Breakfasts offer enticing, health-conscious options from our menu. Please alert us of any dietary considerations.
- Candles & Incents - As required by law, Edmonton Alberta Fire Code, and for the safety and security of our guests, we are unable to permit the use of any open flames such as Candles, etc. We also do not allow or permit the use of Incents in any guest rooms for any reason.
- Payments - at location may be by cash, Credit Card, Debit Card or e-Transfer
- Optional Meals - are not included in the total cost and are payable during your stay. We can provide Lunch & Supper if needed.
- House Keeping - Please hang wet towels on towel racks on the back of your door or closet door to dry. Do not leave on the beds or floors or you can put them into the laundry basket in your room. For Guest who have booked for one week or more we can freshen up your room and change linens' and towels and remove all garbage as well as restock the fridge every few days if needed, just ask us to do house keeping for you. If your garbage needs to be removed before we do house keeping or you do not prefer us to enter your room just bring it down to the kitchen and we will take care of it for you. Please do not put the garbage in the hall way it is a tripping hazard to other guests.
- Guest Laundry: - From time to time our Guests need to have some laundry done. The Dewberry Homestay B&B will do your Laundry when requested by the guest. Just let the host know that you need laundry done. Place your laundry into the laundry basket that is in your room for the host to pickup. The cost to do laundry is $8.00 per load. Wash and dry only. Note: The Dewberry Homestay B&B and the Hosts will not be held responsible or liable for any damages to your laundry what so ever.
- Internet WiFi - Wifi is available in all areas and is free of charge.
- Parking - Free parking is available on site on our driveway if there is room or on the street in front of our home (reservation is not needed).
- Lost & Found - Each room is inspected, cleaned and re-made after guests have checked out. From time to time guests may have forgotten or left something behind. We will do all we can to contact the guest to return the item. Item or Luggage beeing shipped will be at guest's expence. We will hold items for 90 days and if not returned or picked up, the item will be disposed of. In cases of room abandonment ie. guest has not returned to the room in several days and check out time has passed and luggage is still in the room and guest has not made arrangements to check out. If the room bill has not been paid, we will hold luggage for 90 days a luggage storage fee will be charged at $2.00 per item per day. After the 90 days has passed,items will be sent to charity or disposed of.
- Garbage Left after Check Out - removal and cleanup at a rate of $35.00 per hour. This amount will be deducted from your room damage/security deposit if we have collected one. Or charged to your credit card.
